How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The Karaganda Medical University has modernized the system for assessing students' final knowledge in the context of modular learning. Testing with one correct answer has been replaced by a system that provides written answers on the session.qmu.kzplatform. The platform includes a plagiarism check using the Strikeplagiarizm system. Assessment is carried out according to checklists, including the ability to comment by the examiner. The aim of this study is to optimize the system for assessing students' final knowledge.Methods. The study was conducted among teachers and students of the Karaganda Medical University. The sample of students included 358 people from 1st to 5th years who passed exams on the session.qmu.kzplatform in the 2022-2023 academic year.Results. The study identified challenges related to the evaluation of examination papers by faculty and highlighted students’ concerns regarding assessment fairness andexaminer feedback. These findings support the need for the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies to improve the analysis of responses, the design of examination questions, and the overall evaluation process.Conclusions. The implementation of an artificial intelligence system in the assessment of the final knowledge of students at medical universities will significantly increase the objectivity of assessments and improve the quality of examination questions, ultimately optimizing the learning process. Keywords:modular training, session.qmu.kzplatform, artificial intelligence, plagiarism check, checklists, objectivity of assessment, optimization of examination questions.
