How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of cyber-physical systems, particularly in critical infrastructure like open-pit mining operations, demands robust and adaptive information security. This article presents the design and justification of an entropy-aware adaptive key generation system that enhances cryptographic security through real-time entropy monitoring and control. Drawing from risk modeling techniques, the study applies a Kalman filter to predict entropy state transitions and dynamically adapt key lifecycle strategies. This approach ensures high resistance to entropy degradation, key predictability, and environmental noise. The system’s performance is validated through comparative simulations, demonstrating improved accuracy in entropy estimation and key management. The proposed methodology aligns with international standards such as NIST SP 800-90A/B and ISO/IEC 27002, making it suitable for deployment in high-assurance, resource-constrained environments.
