How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The paper presents the results of investigation of the process of leaching of scandium from chloride wastes generated in titanium production to optimize the parameters of extraction into solution. The effects of key factors, including solid-to-liquid ratio (S:L), hydrochloric acid (HCl) concentration, process duration, stirring speed and the influence of temperature on the degree of scandium extraction into solution were studied. Experimental results indicate that optimal conditions for maximum extraction are: S:L ratio=1:10, HCl concentration = 0.12 percent (pH=1.47), temperature (80 to 90 degrees Celsius), duration =60 minutes, and stirring speed =300 rpm. It is shown that increasing the HCl concentration to 3 percent further enhances scandium recovery to 97.2 percent, corresponding to a pH = -0.82. A comprehensive kinetic analysis was performed by fitting the experimental data with the exponential kinetic equation, Yander diffusion equation, Drozdov-Rotinian equation and Prout-Tompkins equation. The findings contribute to the development of an efficient scandium recovery technology, reducing the environmental impact and enabling the secondary utilization of the valuable component.
