How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Blockchain is a technology with a number of key features, including decentralization, autonomy, data integrity protection, immutability of records, verifiability, resilience to failure, anonymity, process transparency and auditability. The use of electronic medical records (EMR) requires robust solutions to protect data, prevent unauthorized access, and provide transparent control over patient records. The article investigates the application of blockchain technology to ensure the security of electronic medical records. The application of blockchain technology in the development of electronic medical records has provided a reliable solution for data protection, preventing unauthorized access and providing transparent control over patient records. The developed blockchain system eliminates a centralized point of failure, ensures immutability of records and transfers control over the electronic medical record data directly to the patient. Testing of the system demonstrated the blockchain’s resistance to cyberattacks and showed its advantages over traditional systems. However, the limitations of the system have been revealed due to performance degradation as the volume of information grows. The application was developed in Java, deployed and tested on the Ethereum blockchain network based on Ganache, and smart contracts for data access were developed on Solidity.
