How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The involvement in the production of high-magnesia refractory chromite ores entailed a number of problems not only at the stage of their preparation for smelting, but also on the processes of metallurgical processing themselves. This problem was particularly acute for the production technology of silicochrome, where all the problematic issues related to the melting technology of both carbonaceous ferrochrome and ferrosilicon are concentrated. Silicochrome slags of high grades (Si – 48-50%) are characterized by high viscosity and melting point. The need to maintain high heating contributes to an increased flight of silica, magnesium, which eventually leads to clogging of the furnace's subsurface space with vozgons sintering into hard-to-destroy nastyls, and carbonization of the furnace bottom.Analysis of the state of this issue has shown that to date, problems in the smelting of silicochrome remain and the main control measures are strict control over the conduct of the melting regime and especially the amount of reducing agent, the use of cleaner materials [1-2]. Therefore, the search for effective ways to improve the production technology of chromite alloys remains relevant. This article presents the results of a study on improving the technology of production of silicochrome using boron-containing fluxes
