How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The presented article presents the results of pathological and morphological autopsy of carcasses of 3 4-month-old and 2 6-month-old unvaccinated purebred cats, which suffered acute disease with panleukopenia in natural conditions. In 2024-2025, thecorpses of sick cats were delivered to the Department of Pharmacology and Animal Pathology of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University to establish the cause of death. Judging by anamnesis, these cats were sick in October and November. Clinical symptoms of the disease were observed by increased body temperature, lethargy, anorexia, vomiting and then diarrhoea. At autopsy, pathomorphological changes were predominantly observed in the organs of the digestive tract in cats with acute panleukopenia. Pathomorphological changes were characterised by catarrhal-haemorrhagic enteritis in the marginal part of the small intestine, reduction of intestinal villi length, complete destruction of villi in some places, desquamation, necrosis of enterocytes. Due to desquamation and necrosis of epithelial cells of the intestinal mucosa there was excessive expansion of the mucosa. In the nuclei of the epithelial cells located in the intestinal cavity, formation of telomeres of diagnostic value for this disease was found. The volume of iliac lymph nodes increased, haemorrhagic inflammation was observed, histologically in lymph follicles there was a decrease in the number of lymphocytes and proliferation of tericular cells
