How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article examines the current state and dynamics of investment activity in the tourism sector of Kazakhstan and the implementation of the Industry Development Concept for 2023-2029. Based on statistical data from the Bureau of National Statistics and industry reports for 2021-2024, the volume of investments in accommodation and catering services, the structure by sources of financing, as well as the regional distribution of capital were analyzed. It has been revealed that the dominant share of investments is accounted for by the company's own funds, while the role of budget financing and bank loans remains limited, which increases the sensitivity of the industry to market fluctuations. Significant territorial imbalances have been identified: steady growth is observed in the Turkestan region and cities of republican significance, while a decline is recorded in the Almaty and Atyrau regions due to the reorientation of investors to alternative segments of the economy. The calculated absolute and relative changes demonstrate that capital concentration forms local growth centers, but does not ensure the uniform development of tourism infrastructure. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a comprehensive assessment of the multiplicative effect of investments through the prism of regional and source features, which expands the theoretical understanding of institutional mechanisms for financing tourism. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of using the results obtained to adjust government support measures, diversify the investment portfolio and develop targeted programs aimed at balanced territorial development and increasing the competitiveness of Kazakhstan's tourism product.
