How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article presents the results of a comparative study of the antimicrobial activity of thick extracts of medicinal sage leaves (Salvia officinalis) obtained by various extraction methods: percolation, vortex extraction and microwave extraction. The aim of the study was Materials and methods. The antimicrobial activity of the extracts was evaluated by agar diffusion using test strains of bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli) and fungi (Candida albicans). Objective: To identify the most effective extraction method for obtaining an extract with high antimicrobial activity, suitable for the subsequent development of vaginal suppositories with antibacterial and antifungal effects. Results. It has been established that the vortex extraction method provides extracts with the highest antimicrobial activity. The extracts obtained by percolation and microwave extraction showed low activity, respectively. Conclusion. The data obtained demonstrate the promise of using thick extracts of medicinal sage in vaginal suppositories for the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections. Optimal extraction conditions have been determined to achieve maximum antimicrobial effect.
