How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This study analyzes the problems of restoring coverage in 5G NR RedCap networks designed for low-power devices. The main limitations of RedCap are considered, including a decrease in coverage radius, increased delays, and deterioration in communication quality in the uplink direction, particularly in PUSCH. The analysis showed that in the urban scenario at 2.6 GHz, the losses in PUSCH reach -3.0 dB, which requires the optimization of data transmission and radio resource management. To improve coverage, the improvements proposed in 3GPP Release 17 were analyzed, including the use of MIMO (2Rx), adaptive beamforming, and carrier aggregation. Additionally, the possibility of using a Kalman filter for the predictive estimation of channel parameters and adaptive control of transmitter power is considered, which can increase the stability of the connection. The results of the analysis emphasize the need for an integrated approach for optimizing the 5G NR RedCap, including hardware improvements, intelligent radio resource management, and the use of channel parameter prediction methods. Further research should be aimed at developing effective signal-processing algorithms to improve the reliability of communications in next-generation IoT and industrial networks.
