How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Energy efficiency of the building walls is one of the main topic of discussion in every country, as it takes more than 30% of the global energy consumption. Thus, the mathematical and numerical modeling of building walls is an important task. It is well known that the heat transfer equation with the given initial and boundary conditions helps to analyze the behavior of the wall heat flux. This information is important in solving design problems of energy efficiency of buildings. This work proposes an innovative non-uniform adaptive method to determine the solution of the one-dimensional transient heat transfer equation. The idea of this method is to use an adaptive moving grid instead of a fixed mesh grid. After obtaining the numerical solution, the method is compared with a reference solution. The method shows high accuracy with a smaller number of spatial nodes. Then, the adaptive method is applied to investigate the heat flux of the building walls located in Astana. Simulations have been efficiently carried out and analyzed for different wall configurations: one-, two- layered walls.
