Abstract
This study presents a kinetic analysis of thermal decomposition of a substance at different heating rates (q = 2.5; 5.0 and 7.5 K∙min−1). Figure 1 shows the dependencies of the conversion degree α on time, obtained both experimentally and computationally. The ABS method was applied to determine the reaction order n, with values n = 0.5, 0.75, and 1.1. To verify the model, calculated thermograms (TG) were compared with experimental data using polynomial approximation (equation 5), showing good agreement in the behavior of the sample’s mass loss. The results confirm the applicability of the chosen kinetic approach and its adequacy in describing the experimental data, particularly at n = 0.5.
