Abstract
Women have played a key role in the development of engineering sciences, overcoming numerous social and educational barriers. From the 19th century to the present, women engineers have made significant contributions in various fields, from construction and metallurgy to information technology and bioengineering. Major figures such as Elizabeth Bragg, Grace Hopper, and Margaret Hamilton have demonstrated that engineering is accessible to everyone, regardless of gender. In Kazakhstan, women engineers such as Kulash Bayseitova and Aigerim Urazbekova have also significantly influenced the development of science and technology. Despite the persistence of gender stereotypes, educational initiatives and support for women in STEM sciences open up new opportunities for future generations.
