How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

FRAX models are available for 66 countries, covering more than 80% of the world’s at-risk population, and have been included in more than 100 guidelines worldwide. Objective. To use the Kazakh FRAX model as a screening of the 10-year probability of major fractures among postmenopausal women and men over 50 years of age in primary health care. Materials and Methods. The FRAX calculator was tested by Doctor of City polyclinic No. 36 and in the medical and social institution «Shanyrak» in Almaty in the work of a geriatrician. A total of 341 patients participated. Results. 108 (31.6%) patients had a high risk of major fractures. The high risk of major fractures prevailed in women, elderly, Russian nationality. Discussion. The FRAX model can improve the accuracy of determining the probability of fractures at the primary health and social care level and help medical staff make treatment decisions
