How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article explores the study of the aitys genre, the formation and development of this art in the past and present, and the contribution of Arka region's aitys poet Arman Berdalin to its evolution. Since Arman Berdalin’s literary legacy has not been the subject of a comprehensive study before, the analysis is based on his verbal duels published on YouTube and in aitys anthologies. First, the views of scholars such as S. Kenzheakhmetov, S. Kasskabasov, and others on the nature of aitys are examined. The article analyzes how, in the aitys with A. Zhapparkulova, Berdalin discusses historical figures: for instance, Zhapparkulova performs in the style of Makhambet, mentioning poets like Makhambet, Dulat, and Mailikhozha, emphasizing their poetic heroism in the fight for national independence. In response, Berdalin compares himself with distinguished thinkers such as Yasawi and Farabi, highlighting the sharpness of thought and language in his era. The effective use of literary devices by both poets is also studied. Additionally, the article examines Arman Berdalin’s unique linguistic expressions and stylistic features in his aitys with contemporaries like Balgynbek Imashev, Sara Toktamyssova, and others. The study provides a scholarly analysis of the aitys poet’s creative style, artistic-stylistic mastery, and regional performance features of the maqam. The research also addresses the innovation and continuity of tradition within the modern poetic structure of aitys.
