How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the practice of Chinese-Russian translation, playing a key role in the intercultural interaction between China and Russia, and faces inevitable socio-cultural and other barriers due to differences in linguistic structures, value orientations (collectivism vs. individualism), traditions (symbolism of numbers, colors, holidays) and linguistic fixed expressions (idioms, grammatical features). Therefore, the relevance of the article is due to the importance of the practice of Chinese-Russian translation. It is established that in order to minimize distortions, a strategy is proposed that combines deep immersion in the cultural context (analysis of historical and philosophical foundations, study of realities), the development of intercultural competence of the translator through training and case analysis, the use of adaptive methods (tracing with explanations, replacement of culturally specific elements, adding comments), as well as post-translation verification with the participation of native speakers. It is proved that successful translation requires a specialist to play the role of a “cultural mediator” who is able not only to convey the meaning, but also to ensure its natural perception in a different linguacultural environment, which is especially important in the context of the growth of Sino-Russian cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres. This approach serves as the basis for the development of educational methods aimed at forming cultural sensitivity among translators. The final recommendations are aimed at improving the quality of translations, strengthening mutual understanding in the context of expanding cooperation between China and Russia, as well as developing educational programs for specialists in the field of translation.
