How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Abstract The roots of Eurycoma apiculata and Eurycoma longifolia are many utilized as a source of raw materials for medicines. The harvesting of roots of both species is done by uprooting so that the number of individuals declines in natural populations. The use of other parts of both species as leaves needs to be studied. The objective of this research was to investigate the flavonoid, phenolic, and antioxidants content from the methanol extract of the roots and leaves of Eurycoma apiculata and Eurycoma longifolia. Determination phenolic and flavonoid total was performed using Folin-Ciocalteu and aluminium chloride methods. Antioxidant activity was determined using the 1,1-diphenyl-2picryl-hydroxyl assay. This study found that phenolic, flavonoid, and antioxidants in the leaves extract of Eurycoma apiculata and Eurycoma longifolia was higher than those in the root extract. Therefore, this study recommend to use Eurycoma apiculata and Eurycoma longifolia leaves extract to replace the root extract as a source of phenolic, flavonoid, and antioxidants in the future.
