How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article discusses the views of scholars on functional literacy, the ways and importance of developing functional literacy in Kazakh language lessons. Func-tional literacy is an indicator of a person’s ability to quickly adapt and engage with their external environment while interacting with it. It consists of the knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed necessary for a person to live in a certain environment, ensuring their social interaction. Therefore, functional literacy should be considered as a mechanism for personal development. Methodical scholars highlight the value and importance of developing functional literacy in teaching the Kazakh language and emphasize the need for its development. In this regard, the article provides a detailed analysis of definitions, mechanisms for developing functional literacy, and presents the research experience conducted in this area.
