How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Medicines for HIV treatment are listed as strategically important. In the Republic of Kazakhstan, research on optimizing the consumption of antiretroviral medicines (ARVs) is aimed at achieving the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets. The primary goal is to enhance treatment accessibility and improve the epidemiological situation. Objective: To analyze the dynamics of ARV consumption in Kazakhstan from 2018 to 2022. Materials and Methods: The study was based on data from the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, international sources, and analytical reports. Statistical methods, including time series analysis and the ATC/DDD methodology, were applied. Results: Trends were identified in replacing original ARVs with high-quality generics manufactured according to GMP standards. Between 2018 and 2022, the physical consumption of ARVs increased by 54.74%. In 2022, the main supplier was India, accounting for 71.48% of ARV supplies. Conclusion: Expanding the ARV assortment, utilizing high-quality generics, and strengthening pharmacovigilance contribute to improving treatment accessibility and stabilizing the pharmaceutical market in Kazakhstan. Diversification of supply sources and intensification of import substitution processes are necessary.
