How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Sulfur negatively affects the operational properties of petroleum products, causes corrosion of pipelines, and adversely affects the environment and the human health. Biodesulfurisation is a most promising method in the treatment of oil from high sulphur fields. In this research, indigenous microorganisms of genera Bacillus and Microbacterium were isolated from three fields of Kazakhstan, Karazhanbas, Buzachi and Kumkol, and genetically identified on the basis of nucleotide sequence analysis of 16S rRNA gene fragment, then the effect of heavy metals on their activity was studied. To describe the ability to bacterial desulfurization of the identified microorganisms, a mineral nutrient medium was used, and high-sulfur oil from the Karazhanbas field was used as a source of carbon and sulfur. Bacteria of the genus Bacillus showed from 0.008% to 0.364% desulfurizing abilities. Further, to improve the activity of the studied bacteria and increase the percentage of biodesulfurization, based on the use of native bacteria Bacillus cereus (SFN2), Bacillus thuringiensis (SFN3) and strains from the All-Russian Collection of Industrial Microorganisms (Pseudomonas putida (B-1827), Rhodococcus erythropolis (AC 1039), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (B-5807)), experiments were conducted on microbial desulfurization using deep eutectic solvents (DES). The results of the experiments showed that DES activates the processes of microbial desulfurization of high-sulfur oil. Thus, in the initial nutrient medium the oil content was 2.129 %, the addition of extractants DES-1 and DES-2 intensified the process of microbial desulfurisation. In the conducted studies, the highest percentage of desulfurization (90% or more) was noted for strains Bacillus cereus SFN3 (96.1%) and Rhodococcus erythropolis AC1039 (95.2%) from the control group of experiments, Pseudomonas aeruginosa B5807 (90%) from the experiment with the addition of DES-1, Pseudomonas aeruginosa B5807 (96.3%) and Rhodococcus erythropolis AC1039 (96%) from the experience with the addition of DES-2.
