How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

One of the most important historical and literary documents for the Turkic world and the world as a whole is the autobiographical work of Zahīr ud-Dīn Muhammad «Baburnama», written in the 16th century in the Chagatai language. This study focuses on the vocabulary of colors and shades of the work. As a result of lexical analysis, it was determined that 16 specific color names were recorded in the written monument, namely: aq, ala, qara, sarığ, yašıl, qızıl, kök, qonqar, mällä, kālā, zard, sabz, nīlā, sūsanī, banafš, ṭūṭī. The analysis delves into the functional aspects of these lexemes by examining their meanings. Semantic analysis revealed that Babur used colors not only in their basic meanings, but also with many shades and symbolic meanings. This approach not only expands our understanding of the author’s artistic techniques, but also illuminates their cultural and historical significance. The results highlight how the color vocabulary in «Baburnama» enriches its descriptive power, offering insight into the aesthetics and worldview of the time. This study makes a contribution to the study of the lexical and stylistic characteristics of the work.
