How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The review article addresses current safety issues in mining with a focus on ensuring the stability of rocks during mineral extraction. The authors note that despite the application of various methods and technologies, there is still no universal solution to fully guarantee safety in the mining industry. Special focus is given to the assessment of the condition of opencast coalmines in Kazakhstan, including the geological, physical, and chemical properties of coal seams, as well as the economic and environmental aspects of mining. The article serves as a basis for the creating an intelligent automated system aimed at monitoring the geotechnical condition of rock formations in opencast coalmines. The article emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive approach to coal resource management, including innovation, environmental sustainability, and economic development.
