How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Scientific research in improving the characteristics of cutting tools using nanocomposites is an actively developing area that garners attention from engineers and tool manufacturers. This article explores the potential of nanocomposites in enhancing strength, wear resistance, hardness, and other crucial attributes of cutting tools. The synthesis methods of nanocomposites, their structural characteristics, and their influence on tool mechanical properties are discussed. Additionally, experimental findings demonstrating the efficacy of nanocomposites in boosting productivity and extending the lifespan of cutting tools across various industries are presented. Overall, the utilization of nanocomposites presents new opportunities for developing more efficient and durable cutting tools, thereby advancing modern production technologies. The practical significance lies in the developed methodology for optimizing pressure in the magnetron sputtering process, based on the simplex approach to coating deposition rate. This methodology aids in enhancing the productivity of the installation. Furthermore, the developed software infrastructure, facilitating automated production and utilization of optimization models under various conditions for ion-plasma magnetron synthesis of hardening coatings, can improve the efficiency of hardening processes for metal-cutting tools, tooling, and components of gas turbine engines.
