Background and purpose Comprehensive preparedness, which combines physical, technical, tactical, theoretical, and psychological components, is a key determinant of performance in rowing. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of assessment methods and to verify the impact of the experimental program we developed to enhance the integrated preparedness of junior rowers (U19) during the winter competitive period. Material and Methods Thirty U19 rowers (≥ third category) participated from January to March 2025. A single-group pre–post design was applied: all athletes underwent testing before and after a 4-week experimental program. Assessments included 2000 m ergometer testing (physical), expert video analysis (technical), theoretical and tactical tests (10 questions each), and the Spielberger–Khanin anxiety inventory (psychological). Statistical analysis (Excel VBA) comprised descriptive statistics (including skewness and kurtosis), Pearson correlation, paired t-tests and Cohen’s d (p < 0,05). Results Significant improvements were recorded in physical (+55,8%), technical (+22,7%), theoretical (+16,5%), and tactical (+16,7%) preparedness, with reductions in situational (–20,1%) and trait anxiety (–11,2%). All changes were statistically significant (p < 0,05). Conclusions The results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed assessment methods and the experimental program designed in this study for improving the comprehensive preparedness of junior rowers (U19) during the winter competitive period.
