The Fourth Industrial Revolution, like all previous revolutions, quickly changed the usual picture of the world in the eyes of mankind. The trend of digitalization in the areas of "production", "consumption", "service" has led to drastic changes in the global labor market. These changes have caused the need for measurement and evaluation due to the contribution or contribution of industries to digitization. "What contribution can the humanities make to the digital age?" this question has led to a clear view that only natural sciences are the creators and developers of the industrial revolution. The actions of modern research universities around the world today create the impression that the natural sciences take pride of place, and the humanities sciences are overshadowed by them. The article examines contradictory situations in the field of academic education, based on influence and authority, examines the relevance of teaching humanities sciences. The authors consider new aspects of his education and put forward a number of practical recommendations, referring to the idea that in the hands of the humanities there is a noble weapon called "idea", which instantly changes the world and man. Based on their experience of teaching social and humanitarian disciplines, especially philosophy, the authors of the article believe that the main technology that these disciplines should be taught is the technology of convincing society of its relevance. In order to argue their views and determine the relevance of the problem, the authors rationally use the "smart" method. In addition, the study used system analysis, socio-cultural methods and historical interdisciplinary approaches and there was a desire to determine the main functions of philosophical disciplines. The very fact that the article is called the philosophy of "relevance" causes the authors a storm of courage and innovation. There are a number of scientists who have considered the relevance of philosophy, but its distinction and justification as a philosophy of "relevance" suggests a different approach. Key words: Philosophy of relevance, humanitarian disciplines, subject of philosophy, philosophical education, Industry 4.0, smart technology, digitalization.
