The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that in the conditions ofmedia convergence, the transformation of the journalist's activity takes place, and therefore newtypes of skills that a specialist should possess become in demand. The editorial offices of modernmass media acquire new characteristics, and each employee adapts to the changes in his ownway, which affects the results of his work and the activities of the team as a whole. In the information age, when communication becomes a form of life and almost anyone canbecome a communicator, the issues of a journalist's identity need to be understood not only associally necessary, but also as personally significant. There is a need to understand the ongoingprocesses in order to understand how the journalistic profession will be transformed, and whatjournalists who have entered the era of convergence will have to adapt to. Much depends on theextent to which journalism can move away from its traditional strategies and adopt innovativeapproaches.
