Foreign direct investment (FDI) is widely considered as an essential form of capital inflow and a key factor in promoting economic growth in many countries. This is particularly true for developing nations, emerging economies, and countries that are currently in the process of development, as FDI is a major contributor to their economic progress and empowerment. This research paper aims to conduct an empirical analysis of the impact of FDI on the economy of Kazakhstan between 1991 and 2020, specifically on its key economic growth indicators, such as GDP.FDI has recently gained significant attention in Kazakhstan due to its crucial role in the country's economy. The study utilized the causal research method and employed wellknown econometric models, namely, linear regression and vector autoregression (VAR), to analyze and evaluate the impact of FDI on the economy of Kazakhstan. The results of the study indicate that FDI and exports have a statistically significant impact on Kazakhstan's GDP, while gross domestic product and exports have a positive impact on FDI.
