One of the main criteria for effective primary seed production is the use of starting material obtained by biotechnological methods. A fundamental element in ensuring planable buildup of sufficient volumes of microplants while maintaining the quality characteristics in the replication process is the development of a program for accelerated clonal micro propagation. In the process of replicating and growing original seed material, the period of compliance of micro-plants with the requirements of the standard is of great importance. The article presents a study of the influence of the variety ripeness group on the speed of the morphogenesis process; this is of practical importance for the compilation of programs for clonal micropropagation in industrial laboratories. The study of this indicator in 14 potato varieties of different groups of ripeness showed that the formation of morphological structures was directly dependent on the varietal characteristics. The analysis of the regenerative capacity allows us to note that the effectiveness of the formation of morphological structures did not depend on the ripeness group of the studied variety samples.
