From year to year, both morbidity and mortality from malignant neoplasms are growing both in our country and worldwide. Ways to reduce it include early detection of tumors and timely treatment of precancerous diseases to inhibit their malignization. The article describes the contribution of the Department of Oncology of the Kazakh National Medical University in training and improving the knowledge of future oncologists and general practitioners about malignant neoplasms. This serves to increase early detection and treatment efficacy, reduce treatment costs, improve the quality of life of patients and, most importantly, reduce mortality from malignant neoplasms.
