Robotic systems are becoming more widespread in various sectors of the economy. The sensor system of the robotic complex is one of the main ones and is designed to perceive and transform information about the state of the external environment and the robot itself. This article discusses the topic of improving the sensor system of a robotic complex in order to ensure the required quality of information about the external environment. The authors propose to create an optical measuring channel for sensor systems of robotic complexes. The optical channel is supposed to be implemented on the basis of fiber-optic sensors and an acousto-optical switch. The principle of operation of the acousto-optic switch and its structural diagram are described. Designs of acousto-optic switches developed by the authors are presented. On the basis of the developed mathematical model of the acousto-optical switch, a study was carried out of the signal transmission efficiency and the level of insertion loss in the spectral range of 1260–1675 nm. The article discusses the structure of a fiber-optic distributed information-measuring system with acousto-optic channel switching. The dependences of the transmission efficiency of the optical signal and the level of insertion loss during acousto-optical switching are given.
