This review article provides an in-depth exploration of the emerging field of New Generation Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) and their potential applications in agriculture. As advancements in plant science continue to unfold, a wave of novel PGRs has emerged, promising innovative approaches to enhance crop productivity, quality, and resilience to environmental stressors.Through a comprehensive synthesis of recent literature, this review elucidates the diverse classes of New Generation PGRs, spanning synthetic compounds, microbial-based formulations, and naturally-derived substances. The article highlights the molecular mechanisms underpinning the action of these regulators, shedding light on their role in modulating plant growth, development, and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. Moreover, this review evaluates the economic feasibility and environmental sustainability of adopting New Generation PGRs, considering their potential to optimize resource use, reduce environmental impact, and meet the demands of modern, sustainable agriculture. This comprehensive overview aims to guide researchers, agronomists, and industry professionals in understanding the evolving landscape of New Generation PGRs, offering insights into their transformative potential for the future of plant growth regulation and crop management.
