This article is devoted to the use of a three-phase sinusoidal current to create a rotating magnetic field. In the article the following cases are considered and presented: 1) with three conductors located with a spatial shift of 120 degrees relative to each other; 2) with three windings located with a spatial shift of 120 degrees relative to each other; 3) with three conductors and windings, located with a spatial shift of 60 degrees relative to each other. For each case, formulas are obtained that describe the dependence of the moduli of the vector of the total magnetic induction and the total sum vector. The obtained expressions show that for the second case, the modulus of the general vector of magnetic induction is three times higher than the amplitude value of the sinusoid, for the third case, the vector of magnetic induction describes the ellipse.
