This study evaluated the effects of conventional, speed, and high-speed sintering on the mechanical and optical properties of two multilayer zirconia systems, Katana YML and IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime. Sixty disc-shaped specimens were allocated to six groups ( n = 10). Translucency was assessed using CIEDE2000-based TP₀₀ and CIELAB-based TPab. Surface roughness and Vickers microhardness were measured before and after glazing, while helium pycnometry density and biaxial flexural strength were determined. Data were analyzed using a 2 × 3 factorial ANOVA, and fracture-strength reliability was assessed by two-parameter Weibull analysis using the specimen-level flexural-strength measurements. Biaxial flexural strength showed a significant material × sintering-protocol interaction, with speed-sintered ZirCAD Prime exhibiting the highest mean strength, whereas Katana YML showed no significant protocol-dependent difference. Post-glaze TP₀₀ and TPab were influenced by material but not by sintering protocol; TPab preserved the same post-glaze group ranking as TP₀₀, and no mean ΔTPab difference exceeded the published acceptability threshold. Pre-glaze Vickers microhardness did not differ significantly among conditions, whereas post-glaze values were affected by material and protocol. Surface roughness was influenced mainly by material and surface condition. Density showed significant effects of material, protocol, and their interaction. Overall, the effects of accelerated sintering depended on material and outcome.
