The paper presents a study focused on the development and validation of a digital twin of a screw compressor operated at oil and gas fields of the Republic of Kazakhstan under sharply continental climatic conditions. The relevance of the work is determined by the significant influence of seasonal ambient temperature variations on thermodynamic, energy, and reliability characteristics of compressor equipment. Within the research framework, a computational and experimental database was formed, including archived process control data, results of field thermal measurements, and identification of mathematical model parameters. The developed digital twin is based on a thermogasdynamic description of real gas compression processes taking into account heat transfer, oil injection, leakages, and mechanical losses. Model verification was carried out by comparing simulated and actual operating parameters for representative seasonal conditions. Quantitative relationships describing the effect of ambient temperature on compressor capacity, power consumption, discharge temperature, specific energy consumption, and heat balance were obtained. Simulation results made it possible to assess the integral impact of climatic factors on annual energy consumption and equipment life indicators. It is shown that accounting for seasonal effects is essential for improving the accuracy of operational forecasting and energy efficiency assessment of compressor units.
