The article discusses the issues of contamination of feed and feed additives with mycotoxins. Mycotoxins are one of the most significant groups of natural pollutants in feed and feed additives that have a complex negative impact on animal and human health. The risks to animals and humans are different, but interrelated. In animals, mycotoxins can lead to reduced productivity, immunosuppression, and impaired reproductive performance. The research aim was to evaluate the residual mycotoxin levels in feed samples and feed additives collected in Kazakhstan and to assess their complex negative effects on animal and human health. The main groups of mycotoxins that pose the most serious threat were selected as control objects: fumonisins, ochratoxin A, aflatoxins (AFB1 and AFG1), deoxynivalenol, T2/HT2 toxins and zearalenone. The research objectives: to quantify mycotoxin residues in various feed categories (succulent, roughage and concentrated feeds), to assess whether residue concentrations exceed acceptable limits. The obtained research results are intended to fill the existing gap in the study of mycotoxin contamination of feed and feed additives, as well as to support the improvement of methods for their detection and establish the need for an integrated approach to risk reduction.
