This article examines the scientific problem of effective knowledge monitoring and assessment in the development of intelligent computerized knowledge testing systems. Based on an analysis of existing approaches to constructing test questions and answers in pedagogical science, the authors propose a new approach that expands the functionality of didactic tests, thereby increasing the level of students' actual knowledge in social science and humanities subjects. The aim of the study is to develop an innovative methodology for assessing university students' knowledge in a range of subjects studying humans, societies, culture, and other subjects. The obtained results are of practical significance for educators developing intelligent computerized knowledge monitoring and assessment systems. The study found that the proposed freely configurable test response form, a set of assessment criteria, and the developed analysis algorithms enable effective assessment of students' knowledge and contribute to improving the quality of education. Further research aims to expand the set of knowledge assessment criteria, develop quality indicators, and integrate appropriate analyzers.
