The article examines the linguoecological aspect of linguistics, definitions of the concept of linguoecology, the relationship between language and society, language development, speech culture, and the factors that hinder the proper development of a language. Linguoecology is presented as a relatively new field of study; its object of research and major theoretical directions are identified, and linguistic data are systematized in order to determine the factors influencing language. The views of scholars who have conducted research in the field of linguoecology are analyzed, the range of issues addressed within this field is identified, and effective approaches to solving language-related problems in the context of contemporary globalization are proposed. The article emphasizes that linguoecology studies the interaction between the individual, language, and society. Examining these three components makes it possible to understand linguoecology as an independent field of study, to identify the conditions necessary for language development in society, and to determine ways of overcoming the challenges that arise in the process of language functioning and development. The article also analyzes such issues as assessing the level of linguoecological culture in contemporary society, protecting language, preserving speech culture, promoting literate and culturally appropriate speech among young people, and developing individuals with a high level of linguoecological competence and a strong sense of responsibility toward language. It is concluded that particular attention should be paid to language ecology in efforts aimed at the development of the state language.
