Background The Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank You (AIDET) framework is a structured communication tool widely used in healthcare to enhance patient‐centered care by ensuring that patients feel respected, informed, and valued. The recent healthcare reform in Kazakhstan focuses on providing patient‐centered care and improving the quality of nursing care and satisfaction. Thus, the AIDET communication framework was implemented because nurses are vital to the healthcare system. The study aimed to explore cardiology nurses’ perceptions of the introduction and integration of the AIDET communication framework in clinical practice. Method This study used an exploratory qualitative approach. A total of 19 semistructured interviews were conducted from October 2024 to February 2025. Interviews continued until data saturation was reached. Purposive sampling was used to recruit Kazakh cardiology nurses who had worked for more than 6 months in the cardiac surgery, medical cardiology, and arrhythmology units of the tertiary hospital. Credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability were assessed to ensure the study’s rigor and trustworthiness. Data were audio‐recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings The thematic analysis identified four key themes: “Initial Resistance and Gradual Adaptation,” “The Importance of Team Support,” “Advancing Communication for Patient‐Centered Care,” and “Institutional Impact and Patient Outcome.” Conclusion The AIDET framework is widely recognized for its potential to enhance communication and patient outcomes in clinical practice. Effective integration requires structured training, early education, cultural adaptation, and ongoing support to address challenges and maximize benefits for nurses and patients.
