The article presents a statistical analysis of socio-economic indicators associated with the use of generative artificial intelligence across countries. It focuses on the actual use of GenAI by the population rather than on countries’ general readiness to implement artificial intelligence technologies. The empirical dataset covers 64 countries; the dependent variable is the share of the population aged 15-64 using generative artificial intelligence. The explanatory variables include the share of internet users, the logarithm of GDP per capita at purchasing power parity, and the share of employment in the services sector. The study applies descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression estimation, multicollinearity diagnostics, and robustness checks. The results indicate that cross-country differences in GenAI use are associated not only with internet access but also with the level of economic development and the structure of employment.
