Background. Cardiac myxoma is the most common type of primary cardiac neoplasm. We diagnosed and visualized myxomas in the cardiac cavity by using transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. We were able to prevent patients’ mortality from serious complications by surgically excising the neoplasm. The purpose of this study was to analyze and research the effectiveness of surgical treatment in patients with cardiac myxoma. Materials and methods. In this article, we conducted a retrospective analysis of the center's ten-year work from 2013 to 2023. 21 operated patients were included. Results. Transthoracic echocardiography is the gold standard for primary diagnostics of cardiac myxoma. According to the given statistical data, the most frequent and most severe complication is cerebrovascular accident. Cardiac myxoma is also frequently associated with acquired heart defects. Conclusions. The main method of treatment is the surgical approach, meaning the radical removal of the neoplasm. This method of treatment demonstrated 100% survival and favorable outcomesleading to full patient recovery.
