The article presents a comprehensive overview of the results of studies of medieval burial sites in the Pavlodar Priirtyshye region within North-Eastern Saryarka. The study relevance is determined by the absence of a comprehensive historiographical analysis despite numerous scattered publications and field materials, as well as the limited publication of modern archaeological data, which complicates their comparison and introduction into scientific circulation. The work systematises materials from studies conducted at different times, comparing them according to key characteristics: types of burial structures, elements of burial rites, orientation of the buried, and the composition of accompanying inventory in ritual practice. On this basis, the main chronological groups of sites in the region are identified: complexes of the Kimak period (8th–10th сс.), sites of the 11th–13th cс., and Late Medieval sites of the 14th–15th cc. associated with the development of monumental architecture. It was established that burial sites in the region are characterised by a combination of different ritual variants, the widespread use of wooden structures, and the stable presence of funeral feast elements and accompanying inventory. The generalisation of the data clarifies the development of burial traditions and identifies promising directions for further research in the region.
