A BSTRACT Annotation: To carry out an in-depth analysis of scientific research on assisted reproductive technology (ART), we performed a bibliometric analysis focusing on global literature from 2004 to 2023. The analysis of 10,399 articles in the field of ART showed a significant increase in the number of publications over the study period. The journal Fertility and Sterility published the most articles. This study provides new insights into the trends in ART. Objective: The objective is to perform a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production related to ART between 2004 and 2023. Materials and Methods: A descriptive, retrospective, and bibliometric study was carried out. The Scopus database was used as a source to evaluate the worldwide scientific production in the ART field. Data were extracted from Scopus. Biblioshiny and VOSviewer were used to perform the analysis. Results: A total of 10,399 documents were found. The Fertility and Sterility journal ranked first with 1007 papers and 47,121 citations. The thematic evaluation map showed that the most frequent themes changed in the second half of the analyzed period, with cryopreservation, embryo transfer, ART, aneuploidy, and male infertility being the top five. Conclusion: The number of papers on ART has been increasing; however, high-quality journals indicate the same high publication rate. International collaboration had the highest research impact, as it achieved both the highest citations per publication and the highest field-weighted citation impact. The analysis revealed evolving trends in research priorities in reproductive medicine.
