The article explores the phenomenon of the culture of silence in the digital age through the prism of religious, musical-historical, and artistic-communicative experience of media work with the unspeakable. The aim of the study is to identify archetypal forms of silence in contemporary music and the digital media environment, as well as to analyze the paradoxical growth of interest in practices of silence in conditions of information overload. The methodological basis is an interdisciplinary approach that combines the phenomenological analysis of sound experience proposed by Don Eide, the theory of archetypes of the collective unconscious proposed by Carl Gustav Jung, and the cultural-semiotic analysis of digital practices. The empirical material covers ten musical works by Ukrainian and European composers (2003-2018), five sound art installations (2010-2019), as well as statistical data on the use of digital media in 2020-2025. The results of the study show that in the works of Valentin Sylvestrov, Lesya Dychko, Yevhen Stankovych, Arvo Pärt, John Tavener, and other composers, four types of silence can be distinguished – expectant, resonant, meditative, and structural – which correlate with certain archetypes of the collective unconscious. Analysis sound art projects demonstrates how an abstract category silence is transformed into material digital art object. Statistical analysis demonstrated exponential growth of the meditation app market and the ASMR content market. Research established that digital practices of silence are a compensatory response to information noise and transform archaic archetypes of sacred experience into commercial digital product, creating a radically new a hybrid culture of silence between tradition and technology.
