The article presents the results of research on the burial ground Akkisyk I, one of the largest Early Iron Age necropolises, consisting of various structures. Geographically, the complex is situated in the Northern Aral Sea region, located on one of the watersheds of the right bank of the Irgiz River, a right tributary of the Turgai River. The materials obtained, based on the specific features of the burial and memorial structures (a “dumbbell-shaped” structure, a sub-rectangular “sanctuary”) and items of material culture, are dated to the Hunnic-Sarmatian period. The burial practices are standardized, with the deceased placed in an extended position, heads oriented to the north. The inventory is diverse and includes a long iron sword without a crossguard or pommel, a bronze single-piece bow fibula, a bronze buckle, and iron bits, allowing the investigated complexes to be preliminarily dated to the second half of the 2nd century to the second half of the 3rd century.
