The article presents data from a study of the Tausamaly archaeological complex, located in the Aksu district of the Zhetysu region. As part of the complex, seventeen archaeological sites dating from the Bronze Age to ethnographic time have been identified. At the complex in 2019 and 2022 scientific research was carried out. Eleven burial mounds have been excavated at the Tausamaly burial ground. During the study period, large groups of petroglyphs in the Karakungey and Kairakkol mountains were discovered and started research. The main objects, including two burial grounds, a settlement, sanctuaries with petroglyphs of tamgas and tamga-like signs in the clusters, date back to the second half – the end of the 1st millennium BC. Monuments form a certain system, they are connected with the traditional economic cycle, which is partially practiced by the local population at the present stage. The settlement monument is located below the alluvial fan of the Aksu River, burial grounds are closer to the mountain range, summer pastures, mainly on the Suuk plateau in the Kairakkol mountains, are marked with tamgas and tamga-shaped signs..
