The article presents the results of archaeological research conducted by the Сhirikrabat Archaeological Expedition of the Margulan Institute of Archaeology at the Babish Mola 1 site in the southern part of the ancient Syr Darya delta. The primary work was concentrated in the fortified area of the site. Research continued on the monumental palacetemple complex known as the “Big House” on the site’s citadel, with excavations focusing on the northwestern part of the complex. As a result, several previously unexplored rooms were uncovered. The dimensions of the central, possibly ceremonial hall, which served as the architectural dominant of the western part of the complex, were fully determined. Additionally, this season, excavations continued in the “shakhristan” area in the southeastern part of the site. Here, a section of an economic zone adjacent to small, possibly residential, semi-dugouts had previously been discovered. In 2023, remnants of two ceramic firing kilns located within the economic zone of the fortified part of the site were uncovered at this location.
