Currently, many devices are being developed that purify the composition of water. However, the basis of methods for sterilizing biological bacteria are devices developed with ultraviolet light. The devices developed by ultraviolet light are widely used in large factories, as well as in hospitals. However, in small institutions and residential buildings, smaller ultraviolet light devices are in high demand for the purpose of cleaning the water content. For this reason, and the purpose of this scientific article is to investigate the propagation of ultraviolet light in a smaller UV device. In the Ansys Fluent program, various comparisons were made using modeling. Using this program, optical studies were carried out, analyzing the propagation of ultraviolet light in liquids. Inside the device revealed the area of propagation of ultraviolet light. The article also considered the reflection of ultraviolet light with the inner surface of the device. To study the location and distribution of ultraviolet LED radiation, the Monte Carlo method was used. In the Ansys Fluent program, fluid analysis was also studied, taking into account the radiation dose. Histograms of the amount of ultraviolet radiation were compared in four cases, and during this study, it was found that 450 MW of ultraviolet LED power was used to disinfect 2 liters of water per minute. By combining UV LEDs, indoor air conditioners, and air purifiers, an assessment of the effectiveness of sterilization can be achieved.
