This study examines the current state of stroke and dysphagia care practices in Kazakhstan, emphasizing the availability of diagnostic resources, rehabilitation services, and medical professionals with the necessary training. Using a combination of methods, the study finds systemic problems in the lack of education and awareness of the general population, which contribute to an overall shortage of staff. These findings highlight the need for equitable healthcare solutions, including a low-cost, accessible wearable technology for dysphagia monitoring and targeted health education programs. By providing guidance for context-appropriate interventions that enhance outcomes for vulnerable populations impacted by neurological disorders, this work advances the larger goal of global health equity.
