Purulent-necrotic hoof diseases in dairy cows are among the most common and serious problems in livestock farming. They reduce cow productivity, lead to culling, and increase treatment costs. In our study, we investigated the causes of these diseases, including microbial infections, metabolic disorders, and the impact of housing and feeding conditions. Microbiological analysis revealed the presence of numerous pathogenic microorganisms in affected hooves: Streptococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Listeria, Salmonella, as well as yeast and mold fungi.Special attention was given to phytocreolin, a natural antiseptic derived from rice husk through pyrolysis. This preparation demonstrated excellent results: at concentrations of 1%, 3%, and 5%, it effectively suppressed microbial growth and promoted tissue healing. The best effect was observed with the 5% solution. Phytocreolin not only combats infection but also has anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties, while being safe for animals and not affecting the quality of milk or meat. Our findings confirm that phytocreolin can be an excellent tool for the prevention and treatment of purulent-necrotic hoof lesions. Further research should focus on a deeper understanding of how this preparation works and developing optimal protocols for its use in various forms of the disease
