Horse breeding, including the Adai horse, occupies a special place in our country. As a result of many years of breeding work, the Adai horse was formed as a breed. In 2023, a patent was granted and approved as a breed. Genetic research for the purpose of breeding, preserving and reproducing this unique breed of horses was carried out at a very small level. In this regard, the main purpose of this research work was to describe the genetic structure of the Adai horse breed based on single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and to conduct a comparative analysis of it with other horse breeds. The results of the study showed that each horse breed is classified into a separate cluster on the principal component analysis (PCA) graph and forms a separate group in the phylogenetic genealogy. This, in turn, indicates that the Adai horse breed has a unique genetic structure and genetic isolation compared to other horse breeds. In addition, genetic similarities were found between the breeds of Adai and Mongolianhorses. The results of the study can be used in the following genetic and breeding work
