Incorporating fly ash as an aggregate in polymer concrete can effectively reduce the thermal conductivity of polymer concrete, increasing its potential as an energy efficient building material. This reduction in thermal conductivity is particularly useful for applications where insulation is required, as the modified polymer concrete can act as a thermal barrier in roofs, walls and floors. By utilising the insulating properties of fly ash, polymer concrete becomes suitable for applications where temperature control and energy conservation are critical. In addition, these results highlight the potential of fly ash polymer concrete to meet the growing demand for energy efficient materials in construction. Future studies are needed to investigate the effect of various factors, such as type and particle size distribution of fly ash, on the thermal conductivity of polymer concrete. In addition, the suitability of fly ash based polymer concrete for use in other structures such as bridge and infrastructure where high durability and resistance to environmental factors are required needs to be investigated. Such studies will provide a comprehensive understanding of the wider implications of fly ash in polymer concrete, contributing to the development of sustainable construction methods
